Bolivia protects Copyright by Law No. 1322 dated April 13, 1992, this law protects the rights of authors in their literary, artistic and scientific, whatever the mode or form of expression used and any their destination.

Among the works that are protected in this legislation are: computer programs or computer (software), under specific regulations.

It states that computer programs and databases are protected as literary works and intellectual works constituting forms of creative expression of the human intellect subject to protection under the stable Decision 351 of the Cartagena Agreement, the TRIPS of the World Trade and the Berne Convention.
